Start Point: Arusha, Kilimanjaro airport

At Kilimanjaro Airport you will meet with your personal local English speaking guide, Ben Themmystocles. This friendly and kind Tanzanian guy will be in charge of you for the next few days, eager to turn your stay in Tanzania into an unforgettable experience!

Days | Destination Accommodation

Day 1: Safari – Tarangire National Park | Fig Tree Lodge & Camp

Explore one of Tanzania’s most fascinating national parks, a land of large baobab trees, large elephants and lions. Lions are plentiful here, Tarangire is home to one of Tanzania’s healthiest lion populations. Overnight in the heart of Mto wa Mbu village, at Fig Tree Lodge & Camp, in a double room with private bathroom.

Day 2: Safari- Serengeti National Park | Seronera Public Campsites

Explore Serengeti, the world’s most famous national safari park. Wildlife here is present to its fullest extent. Overnight at the national park’s public campsite, hear the lions roar from miles away during the night.

Day 3: Safari – Ngorongoro Highlands | Ngorongoro Simba campiste  

The temperatures are lovely and cool in the Ngorongoro Highlands, an ideal place to enjoy great views, explore the forests and spot wildlife (elephants, buffalo and maybe even a leopard). Spend the night high on the rim of the crater at the “Ngorongoro Simba” public campsite, where you will wake up with an incredible view. The campsite is close to the main road, so you are in a good position to be among the first to descend into the crater at first light. The setting is lovely and lush.

Day 4: Safari – Ngorongoro Crater | Fig Tree Lodge & Camp

In the Ngorongoro Crater you will meet the population of 600 crater hyenas, as well as endangered black rhinos. You will also encounter elephants with larger than average tusks and more than 50 lions living in the crater. From early morning, mist rises from the crater, revealing steep, wooded walls, secret waterways where hippos roam and a world of abundant wildlife hidden away from the rest of the world.

Day 5: Cultural experience – Mto wa Mbu | Banana Farm Eco Hostel, Arusha

Walk along the main road of Mto Wa Mbu, which runs along the road near the gate of Lake Manyara National Park. It is a bustling and exciting little town where safari travelers mingle with Tanzanians from all over the country. You’ll soon get a feel for the diversity of tribal cultures (members of all 120 Tanzanian tribal groups live here) and the relaxed pace of local life. You will visit rice plantations and banana plantations, you will receive interesting information about their production, you will taste homemade banana beer. On the way to Arusha, you will see and interact with the most famous tribe, the Maasai tribe.

Day 6: Cultural experience – Materuni Waterfalls | Banana Farm Eco Hostel, Arusha

It is a day to get to know the natural beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will walk a forested, easy 30′ path and admire the Materuni waterfalls up close. The tour concludes with an experience of getting to know the organic coffee of the region. Overnight at Banana eco Farm, in a double room with private bathroom. Enjoy a free tour of its banana plantations and a free outdoor cinema. There is also a great beer bar inside the Hostel. You can also enjoy more optional activities during your stay.

Day 7: Departure for Zanzibar – Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, Zanzibar | hotel in Kendwa/Nungwi

Omar Ommy, a professional and friendly English speaking local driver will be waiting for you at Zanzibar airport to help you with your luggage and escort you to your hotel. Over the next four days, you will have the opportunity to explore the rich history, vibrant culture and stunning beaches that this tropical destination has to offer.

Day 8: Mnemba Island – Swim with Dolphins | hotel in Kendwa/Nungwi

After your breakfast, the driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Muyuni Beach. You will then be transported by speedboat and dive into the crystal clear waters alongside playful dolphins. You will snorkel and enjoy the warm sun on the pristine beaches. Enjoy tropical fruits, snacks and refreshments.

Day 9: Spice Farm tour & tour of Stone town |hotel in Kendwa/Nungwi

Enjoy a tour of the spice farm where you will learn about Zanzibar’s rich cultural history intertwined with the spice trade and discover the art of traditional spice cultivation passed down from generation to generation. An authentic and educational experience awaits you on this aromatic expedition in the heart of Zanzibar.

This will then be followed by an exciting exploration of Stone Town in Zanzibar. Visit the historic slave markets, Freddy Mercury’s residence and many other interesting historical attractions.

Day 10: Road Day trip στη South Beach | hotel in Kendwa/Nungwi

Embark on an unforgettable full-day road trip to explore picturesque South Beach in Zanzibar. First visit to the enchanting Jozani forest, where you can meet the red Colobus monkeys. Then enjoy the peaceful beauty of Mtende Beach, where at the wonderful Usumba Rock Restaurant, you will enjoy your lunch. Next stop a beautiful cave located on Jambiani beach, offering an exciting experience. After that, is the pristine Paje beach, famous for its crystal clear waters and powdery white sand. Then, you will get to know “The Rock Restaurant”, perched on a rock in the Indian Ocean, offering panoramic views and delectable cuisine. Finally, you arrive at Michamvi Beach, Kae Funk, where you will enjoy a magnificent sunset.

Day 11: End Point – Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, Zanzibar

After your breakfast at the hotel, your guide will accompany you to Zanzibar airport for your return flight.
